What age group are these courses for?
Cosmicademy is designed for kids ages 8 and up, but the courses work great for the whole family, adult beginners, homeschool groups, and classrooms too. If you can read and look up at the sky, you’re ready.
I don’t know anything about astronomy. Can I still teach my kids?

- Zero to Hero Stargazing: The Bright Stars teaches you to actually find constellations and the brightest stars in the night sky (northern hemisphere) with the naked eye — it’s our recommended starting point.
- Basic Space Science I is more historical and hands-on — you’ll trace how early humans figured out the cosmos, all the way to Newton, including simple activities to calculate things like the size of the Earth and the distance to the Moon.
Is there anything to help my child track what they’ve seen?
Yes! We offer a free downloadable Observer Logbook — the perfect companion to “The Bright Stars” course — so kids can record their own discoveries as they learn.
